Scam Alert: Fake Von Dutch Sponsorship Emails

We've become aware of a scam email circulating that impersonates Von Dutch, using our logo to offer fake sponsorship or brand ambassador deals. If you've received an email like this, please read the information below before responding.

The facts

  • Von Dutch in Australia and New Zealand is officially distributed by Atomic FM.

  • Our genuine emails will always come from an @atomicfm.com.au address.

  • We will never contact you from a Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, or any other personal/free email address.

  • We will never ask you to send money, gift cards, or personal financial information to receive a sponsorship, product, or partnership.

  • Legitimate sponsorship or ambassador opportunities are never offered unsolicited via email to the general public. If it feels sudden or too good to be true, treat it with caution.

How to protect yourself

  • Check the sender's email address carefully — not just the display name, which can be faked.

  • Don't click links or download attachments from unexpected sponsorship offers.

  • Never send money or personal financial details to "confirm" a partnership or sponsorship.

  • If you're ever unsure whether a message is really from us, contact us directly via our official Instagram (@vondutchanz) or website. Don't reply to the suspicious email.

If you've received a scam email

  1. Don't reply, click any links, or send any payment.

  2. Report the email as phishing to your email provider (in Gmail: open the email → click the three dots → "Report phishing").

  3. Delete the email once reported.

  4. Let us know via our Contact Us Form online - https://vondutch.com.au/pages/contact so we can track and report the scam further.

If you've already sent money

  1. Contact your bank or payment provider immediately to report the transaction as fraud — acting quickly improves the chance of recovering funds.

  2. Report it to ReportCyber (cyber.gov.au) if you're in Australia, or the equivalent cybercrime reporting body in your country.

  3. Report the phishing email to your email provider (see steps above).

  4. Reach out to us at https://vondutch.com.au/pages/contact. We're happy to confirm in writing that the email wasn't from us, which can help with your bank or police report.
